HALIFAX CURATED : Ratinaud's French Cassoulet Recipe

 French cassoulet recipe with duck confit, Toulouse sausage, and chunks of pancetta.

Client : Halifax Curated Magazine

Objective : Style and photograph Ratinaud's cassoulet recipe, with complete freedom to be creative and bring my own vision to life, for the 2018 late-winter issue of Halifax Curated Magazine.

About : Ratinaud French Cuisine is a shop in Halifax that sells high-end handmade artisanal charcuterie and fine imported cheeses. The back of the shop has been renovated and transformed into a highly acclaimed restaurant called The Kitchen Table.

Vibe : The shop section of Ratinaud is filled with rich, warm wood and exposed brick, and those are the tones I aimed to capture in my shot. Because cassoulet is a simple, hearty French stew, I also wanted the shot to have a rustic, French, country feel.
