I made this Berry and Plum Galette last week using this recipe posted by Alexandra Daum over on Baked – the blog. Alex’s recipe calls for peaches but I used tiny yellow plums I bought at a local market. I also picked blackberries at a lake near my house, and added cherries and raspberries I had in the fridge.

I can’t say enough good things about this Alex’s berry and plum galette recipe! The crust was crisp and flavourful with a hint of flavour from coconut oil; the filling was juicy and tart. If you make it, my advice is to roll your crust quite thin. What I thought was too thin turned out to be perfect both in size and texture once baked. It’s a fantastic way to get a fix of late summer fruit!
